Patent Summary

The present invention aims to provide a new Dock Structure Frame Attachment that uses recycled materials to increase the buoyancy of an existing dock structure. The frame is adapted to be attached to a dock structure and has means to receive empty containers, such as plastic beverage containers. When the dock structure, frame and containers are in mutual cooperation, the containers provide added buoyancy to the dock structure. The means for receiving the containers may include female screw portions into which male screw portions of the containers can be screwed, ideally in a fluid-tight manner. Preferred containers are two liter plastic drink bottles. Dock Structure Frame Attachment

It is to be understood that the invention is not limited in its application to the details of construction and to the arrangements of the components set forth in the description or illustrated in the drawings.

Inventor's Notes

"This flotation device can be used for a flotation for swimming, a dock, small boat, possible house boat, bridges. The top could be configured differently so that it could be made into a table with screw-on legs, with another configuration, could be used as shelving. I believe this invention has many applications and with slight configurations, the potential could be endless. One aspect of this invention is that is can be compact, several additions can be added to it which would then make it much larger, and it is extremely lightweight, making it easily handled by either male or female. For instance, if it were made into a dock, females would have no trouble lifting this out of the water at end of season.

Dock Structure Frame Attachment

The possibilities are numerous, it just takes a little bit of imagination to come up with something different using this design and application. Another great feature of this patent, is for shipping purposes, it can be placed on a 4 x 4 pallet and shipped by transport and it only takes 16 square feet of retailer's store space. One unique feature is that each square would be 25 separate flotations, which would mean that if one of the plastic bottles were punctured, the other 24 bottles would still float the device. Equally, when one plastic bottle needs to be replaced, you simply replace that one bottle without having to do anything with the others. The project is environmentally friendly, you can either save the plastic bottles yourself or obtain them from a redemption centre."
